Michael Bacchione

NEW JERSEY, United States

I am a 29-year-old photographer, carpenter and traveler, who has a part time job processing background checks. I picked up the traveling bug in high school when a group of us students went to Europe for 2 weeks. I've since traveled back to Europe twice, spent 5 weeks in India, hopped the Caribbean, Mexico, Venezuela, and have traveled the U.S. a few times over. One time my buddy and I traveled from North Carolina to California with no real means of transportation. All in all it took us about 2 months to cross the country. Part of me wishes I had at least one picture from that trip.

Lately, I've been trying to figure out what it is that I like to photograph most or what type of photographer I am, and I only recently had a breakthrough. I was in a photography class reading some random quote when the word 'relationship' popped out at me from the quote. I like to photograph relationships. Not just between people, but between everything. Everything interacts with something, especially thru the viewfinder.

I live in Brooklyn, recently emigrating from Jersey. (You can take the boy out of Jersey, but you can't take Jersey out of the boy.)  I play on a coed soccer team on Friday nights. I also love to canoe, camp, snowboard, wonder around, waste time, cook, eat, read, watch TV & movies. Basically, I like working and playing with my hands.
